“Dr Godley was on the staff of Botany
Division from 1958 until 1984, and for the first twenty years that
time served as its director. Under his leadership the Division
grew in numbers of staff, diversity of interests and height of
morale. Dr Godley was also the prime mover in the establishment of
the New Zealand Journal of Botany.”
